i rather suspect that was a proof of concept pic. i know i would welcome such a charger on camping trips where cell phone charging has drained car batteries to the point of needing a jump start. everyone else thought "it's only a cell phone, it's not a big enough drain..." and i spent most of my last day that trip jump starting everyone else's car...

Why would you use a solar charger on the car door when you have a perfectly stable 12v volt source, the car itself. That is useless junk.
