Not to be overlooked as an e-reader is the iPhone. You can read Kindle and Barnes & Noble ebooks on it as well as lots of news sources via apps and web pages. You may not want to sit down and read on it for hours, it's great for reading when standing in lines, waiting at the doctor's office, and traveling, for example. You'd be surprised at how much reading you can get done just by using these short snatches of time.

    It works for me, run multiple apps to read books, pdfs, newspapers, use the free Kindle app to read the common Kindle books. Searching in Kindle is great for reference type books.

    Article is a waste of time if wanting onsight on various readers.
    Failed to mention that Sony has a model with connectivity other than PC and also limitations in formats with Kindle.

    These are all crappy ereaders ,backlit screens suck when trying to read for relaxation they keep your mind and eyes far to active.If it doesn't have Eink and no connectivity it's a pad and not a reader thanks.
