Polycom SoundPoint IP 301
The Polycom SoundPoint IP 301 is quite a large phone, but with generally small, tightly grouped buttons (the round keypad buttons are 10mm in diameter). Overall the design has perhaps a touch of the Memphis Group and Art Deco about it.

Aastra 9133i
The Aastra 9133i is distinctly uninspiring to look at: it's finished in a matt dark charcoal, with a few of its buttons highlighted in red, orange and pale green. On the other hand, this phone is extremely rich in functionality for its class.

LinkSys SPA941
The SPA941 from LinkSys, a division of Cisco Systems, is an extremely handsome phone in matt olive-charcoal, with a large status display, surrounded by a silver-bronze plate that delineates the navigation and line select buttons. A clip-on stand elevates the front of the phone to the quite extreme angle of 45 degrees. This minimises the space the phone takes up on the desktop and positions the handset, display and all the buttons, so they are clearly visible and easy to access.

Grandstream Budgetone 102
Grandstream has three models in its entry-level range, the Budgetone 101, 102 and 200. The 101 has only one RJ-45 10Base-T connector, while the 102 and 200 have two switched ports (10/100Base-T on the 200), providing a convenient way of sharing the connection with a PC if your LAN is short on connection points. The Budgetone 102 is the phone reviewed here.
