Nest

The Nest works with Amazon Alexa's voice control and will light up if it sees you to show you the time, temperature or weather. It learns the temperatures you like and programs itself after about a week of usage.

It automatically turns itself down when there is no one home. You can connect your thermostat to Wi‑Fi to control the temperature from your phone, tablet or laptop. The app also shows you how much energy you use and why.

HomeKit is a framework for communicating with and controlling connected accessories in your home. Users can discover HomeKit accessories in their home, configure them, and trigger them using Siri.

Cortana for Windows 10 can be activated on a Windows 10 phone or PC for voice activated assistance and reminders. Reminders can show up across all of your Windows 10 devices.

Cortana works on your phone, PC, and tablet to help keep all devices in sync.

Google Home

With Google Home, you can get hands-free help from your Google Assistant on your smart phone.

Say "Ok Google" to enable voice control to adjust your music playlist, get the morning news, listen to and manage your schedule for the day and control your smart home.

Amazon Echo

The Amazon Echo will use Alexa voice control to play your music from Amazon Music, Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio, and TuneIn. It will answer your questions, and read audiobooks to you.

It will deliver the news, reports traffic and weather, and give info on local businesses, or sports scores and schedules. The Echo can control lights, switches, and thermostats with compatible smart home devices.

Google Allo

Google Allo, is a messaging bot, integrated with Google Assistant. It helps you find restaurants, share videos and get directions when on an IM conversation with friends.

Add @google to the messaging conversation to invoke the assistant. You can also chat one-on-one with your assistant for flight updates, and personal reminders.

Lenovo Smart Assistant

Lenovo Smart Assistant is integrated with Amazon Alexa. The voice-controlled, high-definition speaker has far-field mics to listen, ask it what the morning traffic is like, or play your favorite playlist. It will even order you something from Amazon.

Mattel Aristotle

Coming in 2017, Aristotle is a connected kids room platform designed for parents to use AI to look after their children. It is a voice activated hub, camera and a smart light system.

The Wi-Fi camera has object recognition and movement detection which can automatically play a lullaby and turn lights on dim when it hears a sleeping baby begin to cry.

For a toddler, the lighting system will light up green or red to acknowledge if the child has answered a question correctly during a voice activated learning lesson.

Siri

The Siri virtual assistant has a voice-controlled natural language interface that uses sequential inference and contextual awareness to help iOS users.

Released in October 2011 as part of iOS 5, it integrates with built-in services such as: iMessage, Mail, Calendars, Reminders, Notes, Stocks, Weather, Music, Safari, and external services like Google and Wolfram Alpha.

Hound app

Hound combines speech recognition and language understanding to search and carry out tasks faster without typing.

It can look up the weather, place phone calls, send text messages, finding hotels or, navigating to an address. It can also check the stock market, search and play music, and interactive games.
