LG Optimus 2X adds dual-core processor

LG has unveiled what it describes as the world's first smartphone to come with a dual-core processor.
The LG Optimus 2X features the Nvidia Tegra 2 1GHz processor, which according to LG will give users quicker response times when multi-tasking and faster web browsing.

The phone has a 4-inch screen, offers 1080p HD video playback and recording, and can output video wirelessly to an HD display or other DNLA-compatible kit via HMDI mirroring.
The handset will initially be released with version 2.2 of Google's Android operating system, known as Froyo, but can be upgraded to Android 2.3, named Gingerbread.

The smartphone also includes both an 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front camera, 8GB memory upgradable to 32GB via microSD, and a 1500mAh battery.
