Porche Cayman S
Porsche's newest car, unveiled Wednesday at the Greater LA Auto Show, is the Cayman S, a 295-horsepower, two-seat coupe. The company's R&D director called it a "bridge between the Boxster roadster and the 911 Carrera." The car is in production, but doesn't yet have a specified price.
Toyota FJ Cruiser
Toyota unveiled its new FJ Cruiser at the LA show on Wednesday. Available in March, the FJ Cruiser is a five-passenger SUV with side doors that open in clamshell fashion. It was originally designed as a concept car at Calty Design Research in Newport Beach, Calif.
Volkswagen GX3
From the concept car folks at Volkswagen comes the GX3. A three-wheeler, the fuel-efficient motorcycle-class car can be driven in the commuter lane with only one driver. The car's designer hopes to put it into production and have it ready for sale in 2007.
Derek Jenkins
Derek Jenkins, Volkswagen's chief designer in North America, had the idea for a three-wheeler and worked with a team to develop the GX3 over the last 18 months in California. The 1,300-pound car gets about 46 miles per gallon and can go from zero to 60 in 5.9 seconds. If the car comes to market it would be priced somewhere between $10,000 and $20,000.
Suzuki Blizzard
A snowboarder's dream, Suzuki's Blizzard--a "life vehicle" concept car--is based on the Grand Vitara production line of cars. It is outfitted with boot heaters, studded tires and a chair lift seat in the back.
Bugatti Veyron
Heralded as the world's fastest car, Bugatti's Veyron 16.4 made its U.S. debut on Tuesday. With a price tag of $1.3 million, the car features 1,001 horsepower, an 8-liter, 16-cylinder engine and four turbochargers. It has a top speed of 253 mph.
Spyker iC12 LaTurbie
Spyker's concept car is a hand-built, all-aluminum sportster that will be available in September. The iC12 LaTurbie is made to order, and its price tag starts at $325,000.

Spyker C8 Laviolette
Spyker's C8 Laviolette plays a leading role in the upcoming movie "Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction."
Jeep Hurricane
One of Jeep's concepts, the Hurricane, has two V-8 engines, one in front and one in the rear. If the combined 670 horsepower isn't enough to grab you, how about the ability to turn all four wheels at once for a very, very tight 360-degree turn? For a concept car with a different take on getting out of a tight spot, and a not so rugged look, there's the Nissan Pivo.
Jeep Gladiator
Jeep is also showing off the more conventional Gladiator, whose retro-meets-nouveau stylings include a fold-down windshield, canvas roof, removable doors and expandable bed.
Maserati Birdcage
The low-slung Maserati Birdcage features some high-tech components, including a transparent heads-up display, camera systems, LED-based headlights and taillights, and wireless Internet access.
