NSW's Department of Education and Training (DET) is now officially on the look out for someone to fill its vacant CIO role following the departure of Stephen Wilson a few months ago.

The department has aired an advertisment for the role on MyCareer, saying that successful applicants will need to have had experience in large and complex organisations.
Wilson, who served a five-year stint with the DET, declined to renew his contract in July.
The DET's current acting chief information officer is Marie Romero. The new CIO will be responsible for overseeing the technology needs of over 96,000 staff.
Based in Sydney, a contract of up to 5 years will be negotiated.
