Farid Jarrar has been appointed as Stellar's Asia Pacific CIO. He has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, with 12 of those years spent in the contact centre business.

Jarrar's previous positions include a stint at Origin Healthcare and various IT management positions within Excelior and SKILLED Group.

Jarrar fills the chief information officer position left vacant by his predecessor Warwick Marx.

Melissa Hamilton, Stellar's chief executive officer (CEO) for Asia Pacific, said that Jarrar was an ideal candidate to drive the company's future IT projects.

"Stellar is currently undergoing major growth and Farid will play a leading role in shaping the strategic direction of the group's technology function," Hamilton added.
