Nokia has designed some good, if not strange-looking devices in its time.
The former phone giant is no more, as the company continues to transition away from designing mobile phones to developing networking equipment. Since the company has ruled out returning to phone-making in the future, now is the best time to look back at its design heyday.

During the early-2000s when cell phones were becoming the must-have gadget, Nokia would dazzle its customer base nearly every week with a new design — sometimes the traditional clamshell "candybar" design, but also the new breakaway phone with weird and wonderful shapes.
They weren't always, however, the most popular devices Nokia had. The Nokia 7600, for instance, was a square-ish phone with rounded corners — a teardrop design, as described by some. But it looked silly to hold, let alone to make a call with. And it probably sold in the low-thousands.
Some of the more traditional but daring designs, like the Nokia 3650, reimagined the phone with an older rotary-dial keypad. Again, it wasn't the most popular device the company has ever made, but props to its designers for going with something outlandish.
Nokia more often than not attempted to put functionality over practicality — often a device wasn't designed to be a phone, per se, more rather it had a core function like a gaming or a music device.
It was a good time. It was a different time. So, why not relive it?
