GNOME 2.28
The Karmic Koala desktop makes use of GNOME 2.28 and sports an updated Human theme. Ubuntu One is found in the Places menu and the status of the service is shown by the cloud in the applet section in the top right. To the left of the clock is an envelope that represents the internet communication programs.

Swap space at end of disk?
However, on a HDD, the further the swap space is from the apps, the more time penalty it imposes, considering that when it is used, it imposes delays anyway.
If a whole large partition is being used, it would be better to have swap near the start. If two, in the middle.
