• Is it true that they've been doing this in Europe...

...for several years already, with Nokia phones?

• actually no

@Feldwebel Wolfenstool
it was just an empty bullet point on a feature list. no one ever used it. have some freinds that have nokia phones, they tried it. didn't work. didn't ever touch it again.

That is nothing short of amazing, and proves how popular the iPhone is compared to other smartphones.

These unlocked iPhones don?t get 3G or 4G data speeds because the radios in the phones do not work on the T-Mobile network,

Apparently these iPhone owners get what they need from the phones without support from the carrier.

While you can argue that a few T-Mobile customers might do this not knowing what they are getting into, it?s hard to believe that over a million folks did this without thinking things through.

While T-Mobile doesn?t handle the iPhone currently, maybe that will change if the AT&T merger gets approved.

Just about a year ago I posted my Windows Phone 7 guide on the technical preview and since then I have posted many articles on this operating system, the hardware, and the tens of thousands of available applications.

I dont put much credence in these outlandish long term forecasts in a market that moves way too fast to accurately you can pick up hardware for free with a new contract. Granted, there will be updated hardware released when Mango hits the street, but from what I have seen so far with Mango on existing hardware it runs as well as Windows Phone 7. I personally have an HTC HD7 and Dell Venue Pro, but will be upgrading to a Nokia Windows Phone when I can because I want a WP device with pclos hwdb a decent ipad bag blog sutudeg education news and camera.

• In Australia, it was boom for a while back in 2004.

@Feldwebel Wolfenstool : When 3G networks first launched here, the company named "Three" offered a free video call all around Australia. There were a lot of phones supporting it at the time: Nokia, Sony, LG you name it.

However, later on, nobody seemed to want to do that anymore because its not practical. You wont do video call when you are away or on the road because it's not convenient. And when you are at home, you'd prefer doing video call from the webcam on their PC\laptop anyway since it's more comfortable and the screen are far better.

@Feldwebel Wolfenstool That just can't be. Why, we've seen countless studies that prove that Linux is vastly more expensive, less reliable, etc. in the server room than Microsoft's offerings. These companies only think they're saving money.

That, or they've figured out that someone is lying to them.

Next thing you know, they might start wondering if the Received Wisdom might be wrong about the desktop, too.
