• Tablet PC?

Sam, do you realize that you're calling the upcoming Apple tablet a "tablet PC"? I don't think Apple would appreciate that.

• In the Case of Apple, It's ALWAYS Out of Control!

I think it's amazing that Apple gets so much free publicity from the media, and others, who seemingly can't wait to gush over anything Apple. Always going on about how "cool" it is, the hype rarely goes into detail about the real drawbacks of owning the product(s) produced by, what is arguably, the most controlling company in its respective industries. Instead of listening to what the consumer wants, Apple tells them what they can have, and the sheep just go along. While attention is warranted in the case of Apple's media players, and maybe the iPhone, the hype over Apple's computers is way over the top considering their 9%-12% (depending upon the study cited) market share.

Additionally, what should be perceived disapprovingly is that, while Apple is not above building their own market share on the backs of other companies' products (Bootcamp - Microsoft), Heaven forbid that anyone else does something similar with an Apple product (Palm Pre - iTunes). Instead, Apple is not only given a free ride (due to its draconian EULAs) but defended by the hype machine and the fanbois.

I'm sorry, but I just don't "get" this ridiculous love affair with Apple and its products. It seems to turn ordinarily discriminating consumers into nearly religious zealots who feel compelled to preach the "gospel" of Apple. It's Unbelievable! Industrial design isn't everything, folks.

• Why I Love Apple...in One Word

.....MICROSOFT.

LOL!
Microsoft drove me to Apple.
I HATED computers.
I haven't a SINGLE piece of Microsoft in my Macs and I'm kind
of smug about that.
Since I went Mac, I haven't had a single freeze,virus,crash...not
even a hiccup.
I work with MS crap at the University that I'm employed
by...and I HATE it.
I come home...and I'm zen...........

Persons who "diss" Apple the way you are just really can't be
working with Mac products. Because going an entire 12 years
without a single malware experience would have you
understanding the "Apple love affair" just a bit better.
It wasn't the rumours that sold me on Apple...it was Microsoft.

• Similar story here

After 20 years of frustration with Windows and mild curiosity about
the Mac, I finally jumped ship and now run on Macs and Ubuntu PCs.

Do I "love" Apple? No. I simply appreciate the engineering and
attention to detail. Oh yes, and that things are done more easily.

Do I hate MS? No way. Why would I bother getting ulcers?

It is the MS trolls and shills who amaze me. They spend enormous
amounts of time trawling the blogs to post a swipe at Apple whenever
they can. Now, if Windows were half as good as they seem to think it
is, then it would be obvious to everyone and they wouldn't need to
bleat so loudly all the time. They stand condemned by their own rants
and their pointless, misguided intolerance.

• RE: Is the Apple rumor mill getting out of control?

I personally can't wait until H___ freezes over...

which is when apple will release a tablet PC at a
price point that will make it viable for the only
market that will ensure it's success, the 20 million
post secondary students that can now purchase most, if
not all of their textbooks online in e-format. It
escapes many that this is the most applicable use for
a tablet, and the fact that texts are now available in
e-format is the key for this working.

Microsoft has found pretty much any and every way to
screw up marketing tablet PC's with the death-nell for
their once noble effort, OneNote, hampered by it's
attached printer driver not working on many 64bit
systems.

The irony of this is lost on many, but here's the
chuckle; Microsoft released bloated Vista, which made
people switch to 64bit systems so that they could
utilize more ram, but now by cutting OneNote's
usefulness by half, with a broken printer driver,
because it doesn't work with 64 bit systems, they have
given the education market yet another reason to not
upgrade. LOL.

And so, my pilot project at my university to introduce
and test efficacy of tablet Pc's is now on hold, until
MS can fix their brain fart, or someone else releases
a tablet running on an OS that works...

• RE: Is the Apple rumor mill getting out of control?

I personally believe that Apple generates many of these
rumours themselves.....what better and cheaper way to do
market research than to float an idea out there and then
let the bloggers and the media spread the word and then
field,FOR FREE, the opinions and interest of the
marketplace?
The avid interest expressed by the public response to the
Mac "tablet" is telling them that they'll sell them in
plenty....and we're even telling them what we want it to
look like and what features we'll pay for.
I have little doubt that Apple is more than happy with the
rumour mill and uses the market feedback it provides
them to great advantage. If anything, the mystery makes
Apple even more popular to watch and increases
sales...everybody loves an intrigue, after all, and the Secret
is just a part of Apples cachet..owning a piece of that
brings a bit of that to the holder. I know I'll have
everybody's attention, at least for a little while, when I
whip out MY AppleTablet..... ;)

• Yes

"I think it's amazing that Apple gets so much free publicity from the
media"

It must annoy the heck out of Microsoft! However, if you go back (say) 10
years ago, the press was all about MS. So Apple must now be doing
something to attract all this interest, and that would be interesting
products, higher profits and consumer interest.

I do draw the line on speculation, though. I agree with Sam, I think the
rumour mill is out of control. So many comments are baseless.

In fact, until someone makes sense of what "natural" means in this context, I'm not even assuming it has much meaning.

Good news! If you?re an Android developer <a href="http://www.yilmazetmakinalari.com" title="yilmazlar et">yilmazlar et</a> living in Brazil, Canada, <a href="http://www.yilmazetmakinalari.com" title="kemik kesme">kemik kesme</a> Russia, or 17 other <a href="http://www.yilmazetmakinalari.com" title="kemik testeresi">kemik testeresi</a> countries you can cancel the movers because Google <a href="http://www.yilmazetmakinalari.com" title="kofte makinasi">kofte makinasi</a> will now let you sell Android apps in the <a href="http://www.yilmazetmakinalari.com" title="hamburger makinasi">hamburger makinasi</a> Market.
