If your small business still has a need for loads of black-and-white printing, Xerox has introduced two new multifunction devices that can print up to 47 pages per minute – one of fastest rates in this product category.

Both the Xerox Phaser 3610 Printer and the WorkCentre 3615 Multifunction Printer are positioned as production-class systems. They can be equipped with three additional 550-sheet paper trays, which means they can crank out up to 2,350 sheets during a job cycle. Two-sided printing is an automatic feature, although you can shrink and print multiple pages of a presentation onto one side, if you need the back of the sheet to be blank.

Offering print resolutions of 1,200 by 1,200 dots per inch (dpi), they are intended for business documents such as sales materials or invoices.

Both of them also offer optimized features for members of your team that are usually doing their day-to-day jobs with mobile devices. If that worker is nearby, he or she can use Apple AirPrint to print email or documents from an iOS device. Xerox PrintBack allows them to print document remotely, which can be picked up later during an office visit.

Another feature the two devices share: they come standard with an option called Secure Print, which is intended to make sure documents designated as confidential are only printed by the intended recipients.

One of the main differences between the two printers is that the WorkCentre 3615 can be programmed for its next job while one is still in progress.

The WorkCentre 3615 lists for $999, while the Phaser 3610 is priced at $599.
