So you're on your way to university and about to finish college or high school, but which one? There are so many universities out there, across the country and the globe, all offering the "best courses" and so many advantages. Considering you'll be spending at least 3 years at university, you don't want to spend your time on a crap course in a pit of a city.
For those heading to the UK, it's a piece of cake finding the right choice for you - newspaper articles, websites dedicated to this sort of thing, advisors on call for panicking students; I already feel like I've spoken too much about England so far so I'm opening this up to the other continents.
College Prowler is a dedicated website to those studying in the US, which categorises from local city atmosphere, academic studies and research, from a guy's perspective, from a woman's perspective, how strict a campus is, sports and even college's which has the best drug scene (legal: neither I nor ZDNet support illegal activities, drugs are bad, you all know it, I'm just making a point with this). Not only does it show you the academic side of things, but it throws you the social and "unseen" scene - which is a good proportion of what university life is all about. After all, you are most likely to meet your future husband, wife or partner at university.
There's no doubt in my mind the best way to choose is by visiting, seeing things in person, looking around and exploring these different universities (but considering the state of Michigan is twice as big as the UK, I can understand how it was much easier for me to "just visit" university campuses over here) but honest advice from this site is a damn good place to start.
