Disparity between old and new media reports

On Saturday, in Kuala Lumpur, demonstrators at the National Palace handed a memo to the King's secretary, calling for royal intervention to ensure a free and fair election.

According to various accounts, it was a massive gathering of between 30,000 and 40,000 people.

The mainstream print media was advised (euphemism for "do it or else") to play down the issue. And comply they did.
