Kensington announced today a new travel dock for iPhones and iPods that charges both the iPhone/iPod and an extra battery. The Charging Dock with Mini Battery charges both the device and the battery at the same time.

Attaching the battery to the device gives the iPhone/iPod the ability to play up to 30 extra hours of music or six extra hours of video, or provides three more hours of talk time. Of course, the times may vary depending on which device you have, and how you're using it. Since both the battery and the iPhone/iPod share the same docking unit, you only need to use one USB port as they charge.

The Charging Dock with Mini Battery is now available for pre-order, but will not start shipping until late October. The dock has a list price of $69.99.
