LEDs: bad Easter Bunny melters (video)

Summary:LED manufacturer Cree sends holiday message to incandescent bulb users: How many chocolate bunnies have to die before you switch to more efficient lighting?

In a macabre marketing display, Cree, a major LED company, sacrifices chocolate bunnies to sell their light bulbs.

Cree blogger "Ginny" places the two bunnies under a 12 Watt Cree LRP-38 and a 65 incandescent floodlight and films each bulbs heat effects over the course of 90 minutes. The time-lapsed video is creepy, yet informative.

Thirsty for more chocolate? Watch what happens when bunnies encounter an iron, a heat lamp, and a hairdryer.
