Assassin's Creed III is going to be one of the biggest games of 2012, and Samsung hopes to rides its coattails by bundling it with its new line of 840 SSD Pro solid-state drives.

The 840 SSD Pro with Assassin's Creed III is a limited time offer that allows you to download a full version of the game with the purchase of a 128GB, 256GB or 512GB drive. These models promise up to 100,000 input-output operations per second (IOPS), 540MB/s sequential read speeds, and AES 256-bit encryption. Prices range from $189.99 for 120GB to $339.99 for 256GB to $889.99 for 512GB.

Our sister site CNET reviewed the 840 SSD Pro and found that while it was fast and more energy-efficient than competitors, it was on the high end when it came to cost-per-gigabyte.

As you can guess, the non-Pro 840 SSD line offers slightly less performance (97,000 IOPS, 530MB/s sequential read speeds) for a lower price -- and, of course, no Assassin's Creed III. For $139.99, you get 120GB, while you pay $259.99 for 250GB and $699.99 for 500GB.

Is the bundling of Assassin's Creed III enough of an incentive for you to choose the Samsung 840 SSD Pro for your storage upgrade? Let us know in the Talkback section below.
