Sony has already started to become aggressive with pricing on its tech toys leading up to the holiday shopping season, starting with some enticing news about the PSPgo portable gaming console.

According to Reuters, the price tags will be slashed to $199 from $249 in the United States and to 16,800 yen from 26,800 yen in Japan.

Even though there won't be a Nintendo 3DS to compete with this winter and old DS game player is becoming extinct next year, it's a smart move for Sony to start getting competitive now.
