Acer has also decided to add some more nettops to the Veriton collection. Both the N281G and N282G nettops are intended for utmost professionals.

Running Windows 7 Professional, both of these ultra-compact computers not only save space but also materials thanks to that "screw-less chassis" design. Owners can either mount their nettop of choice onto a stand or on the back of a display.

Most of the similar specs found among these two Veriton nettop boxes is connectivity-related. That would consist of 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet,  six USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, VGA, serial ports, a mini PCI Express 1.1 x1 slot, and HD headphone/microphone jacks. They also both host 320GB hard drives and 2GB of DDR3 SDRAM.

But each of these Acer computers have a different focus. The Atom D425-powered N281G concentrates on office productivity tasks, and it comes with a Intel 3150 Graphics Media Accelerator. The N282G (pictured above) is intended for viewing HD content with Nvidia Ion 2 graphics.

Rolling out across North America this month, the Veriton N281G and N282G nettops will be retail for just $399 and $449 respectively.

I'd be aprehensive, I have a nvidia nettop I got for $200, worked nice for almost a year, now the keyboard is a little flakey. Mostly mouse interaction, for tv, but still... spend only disposable money on it.

2GB of Ram is insufficient for business, 4gb should be the default. 2GB is fine for XP Pro not W7 Pro.
