Live blog: Can a student live in the cloud for 48 hours?

I thought it would be a good idea to give real cloud computing a go. For the next 48 hours (because of the time difference, I'll start at 9am GMT and finish in two days time on Friday morning.

My colleague Chris Dawson, who writes on the Education blog, made a meciocre effort to live in the cloud, and I will attempt to trump that effort. Can a student live int he cloud for 48 hours without going mental?

Living in the cloud for 48 hours

Now this is a tricky one to do, because you can never work entirely in the cloud. For my own levels of sanity, the only offline application I will use is Firefox, my web browser; I do use Foxmarks which enables me to get my bookmarks online, so I'll be keeping that in an open tab at all times. I won't be using anything else offline, that includes things like Windows Calculator, but any files I need to access I'll sync to the web using Live Mesh or upload directly to an online office application; Google Docs for example.

WIsh me luck... I'll need it. Feel free to leave comments in the live blog above or in the Talkbacksbelow.
