Laridian co-founder Jeff Wheeler leaves behind eternal legacy for mobile Christians
Summary: I've been using Laridian's Bible applications for over 12 years so was saddened by the news that their co-founder passed away this week at the young age of just 49.
I've written a few articles in the past about my experiences with Laridian's Bible software and over the 12+ years I have been using their applications I have made purchases based on whether or not the device would run their software. Thus, I was saddened by the news that Laridian co-founder Jeff Wheeler passed away at the young age of 49 after fighting a valiant battle with cancer. I know Jeff is now in a much better place and no longer suffering so that brings comfort to us all. Jeff and his work have touched my life and many others through the products he helped create.
I started using Laridian's MyBible software on my Palm PDAs back in 1999 and thought it was revolutionary that I could now carry my heavy Bible translations and a ton of other resources in the palm of my hand. I then moved on to using their fantastic PocketBible application on Pocket PC devices and kept using Pocket PC and Windows Mobile beyond what many consider useful in order to keep using their software. Today, I use their PocketBible application and resources on the Apple iPad and my iPhone 4S.
An amazing capability with their licensing structure is that once you buy something, it is yours forever so Bible translations I bought many years ago can still be downloaded and used today on the most modern devices. I can't tell you how many hours I have spent with their products on my mobile devices and how many times having the Bible in my hand has opened doors for me to share my faith with others. Thank you Jeff for the resources you helped provide me and many others, you will be missed.

PocketBible was my first mobile Bible!
Well...
Such a post would never be allowed here. To us, you are like muslim integrists mixing society and religion and thus potential religious terrorists! Sorry.
Your very ignorant.
Judging your grammar
Well too
Your society does not have to be that way. You make it sound quite bad. It's up to you to work with your government to get over such restrictions. That's all any of us can do no matter where we might live.
Thanks for letting us know, Matt!
