Update: The Firefox 3.5 Beta 4 code freeze was expected today but a little more time is needed.

Mike Beltzner, lead developer on the open source project, informed this blogger this afternoon that the code freeze would slip beyond April 15 but indicated that it should impact the completion date.

"Code freeze was scheduled for today, but as just announced, some of the P1 blockers have not yet been resolved and so we've delayed the freeze to wait for these fixes," wrote Beltzner. " We're still gathering data, and we don't expect the delay to be very long. Our target for release is still late next week.

The Mozilla team announced Tuesday after its weekly meeting that the beta 4 code freeze would occur on April 15. We reported that earlier today, based on the meeting notes.
