Cloud services and hosting provider, Rackspace, has appointed Angus Dorney as its new director and general manager for Australia and New Zealand after the departure of Mark Randall.
After more than four years as the head honcho of Rackspace Australia and New Zealand, Randall has moved on "to pursue other opportunities", according to the company. He had been with Rackspace for seven years.
Randall has joined another cloud services and hosting provider, Bulletproof, as its new director of sales and marketing. He begins his new role on July 15.
Dorney's was hired by Rackspace three months ago to be the company's director of operations across Australia and New Zealand. His new appointment is effective immediately and he is now responsible for growing the hosting provider's local operations.
"I’m thrilled at the opportunity to lead Rackspace Australia and New Zealand," Dorney said in a statement. "Rackspace is a global leader in open cloud and hybrid cloud solutions, which means we are uniquely positioned to support Australian and New Zealand organisations in their journey to the cloud."
He will be reporting to newly-minted Rackspace Asia-Pacific managing director, Ajit Melarkode.
Before Dorney joined Rackspace, he was the NSW general manager for Blue Star Print, a printing services company, for two years.
