Will the real BlackBerry killer please stand up?

OK, you regular readers of this blog are just going to have to live with the fact that I am a huge thumb keyboard fan and like to talk about devices using this form factor. While thumb keyboards may not be perfect, I think for text messaging and email composition they serve a vital purpose as you can see with the success of the RIM BlackBerry platform.

Sling Media announces 3 new Slingbox units

I am having a great time at Mobius 2006 here in Boston and listened to Brian tell us that Sling Media will be announcing 3 new devices today. Last month when I interviewed Sling Media executives I was told about these devices in confidence I wouldn't release any details.

Nokia Open Studio New York 2006

Nokia held a worldwide press event in 4 locations yesterday that was used to announce some new devices and accessories. The event also gave the attendees the opportunity to get some hands-on time with the products and face time with Nokia representatives.
