Nokia E62 may be coming to Cingular in September

The Nokia E61 variant that is customized for the U.S. market may be coming soon. A few select press people have checked out the device and provide their take on it. As usual, it looks like Cingular will be removing the WiFi capability so you may want to get the unlocked E61 yourself to take advantage of that wireless technology.

Do you need an Office suite on a smartphone?

Windows Mobile Smartphones do not have native or even 3rd party software that allows you to create and edit all types of Office documents while Symbian and Palm devices do have this ability. Some say that viewers are enough and even then Microsoft relies on a 3rd party developer to provide this functionality. Does Microsoft need to improve in this area to become more competitive in the enterprise market?

ASUS R2H UMPC provides integrated GPS

The Asus R2H UMPC was officially announced today, but a couple of the specs are less than expected. The device may have issues running at the default 256MB RAM with the Tablet PC OS and integrated GPS receiver. Nothing spectacular stands out on the device and UMPC fans may want to stick with the Samsung Q1 for now.
