David Cooper

David Cooper has many years of experience as a regional business technologist. He has previous experience in planning and delivering strategic IT-enabled transformation programs to the commercial enterprise and public sector across Asia. … Currently David heads up Telstra's Hybrid Platforms business, a broad portfolio encompassing solutions that range from datacentre optimisation through to hyper-scale multi-cloud and bespoke agile software development. He served as the chief technologist for Hewlett-Packard's Enterprise Group Public Sector team. During his time with HPE, David worked with clients to explore how technology and services can best serve them. He has also worked with several Defence System Integrators. David began his professional career in the automotive industry, designing and commercialising engine management systems for small engine vehicles, including motor cycles and marine engines in the European market.
