Spending on search engine ads will increase 47% in 2005, to around $5.1 bln, from around $3.5 bln in 2004, Merrill Lynch predicted. Paid search and paid inclusion together will likely reach $5.5 bln in 2005, which represents 45% of Merrill Lynch's estimate for the total online ad market in 2005.
