70% of software programmers carry code from employer to employer

ZDNet UK brings up the question of whether the software programmers engage in IP-stealing practices. The anonymous online survey of more than 3,000 developers found that almost 70% of respondents keep a personal library of code that they freely carry between employers. Such code is generally used without the lawful owner's knowledge or permission, according to IT legal experts out-law.com.
