Microsoft has confirmed that its UK Internet access business -- MSN UK -- is losing subscribers, fast.

On Jan 20 Microsoft claimed it had an online population of 150,000 users in the UK. Today that figure has dropped to 125,000.

At the time, MSN's group marketing manager Gillian Kent said MSN's Internet access business could only exist as long as it remained "viable".

ZDNet UK News has made several attempts to discuss the matter with Kent who has been unable to return calls.
