AMR's 2005 Innovation Award Winners

After examining 150 nominations, AMR Research handed out itsinnovation awards to the following winners:

Salesforce.com
TrenStar
T3Ci
IBM

...based on the following criteria:

• Has a sustainable competitive advantage
• Is unique
• Addresses a key business issue
• Spurred new business for the company
• Has referenceable accounts

IBM stands out in the list, but the"Continuous Innovation Award" it received was based on the number of patents it received from the U.S. Patent Office, nothing else. Patents don't equal innovation in my book; I would have given it to Apple instead.
