Andrew Dutton named VP, IBM Software Group, Asia Pacific

Andrew Dutton has been appointed vice president, IBM Software Group, Asia Pacific, succeeding Thomas Kendra.

Andrew Dutton Andrew Dutton has been appointed vice president, IBM Software Group, Asia Pacific, succeeding Thomas Kendra.

Kendra has been named vice president, acquisition transition, Data Management Solutions, IBM Software Group, responsible for overseeing the integration of Informix into IBM.

Dutton, based in Japan, will be responsible for sales, marketing and channel development, independent software vendor relations and overall business development for IBM software in the Asia Pacific region.

He brings to his new role years of experience in various IBM positions, including systems engineering, sales, and branch management. Dutton is a director of the Board of Singalab, a 40-percent IBM-owned systems integrator in Singapore.

Prior to this appointment, Dutton was vice president of Sales and Channels for IBM Asia Pacific. He has also served as group manager of Business Development, Visa International, Asia Pacific; executive director, Asia Financial Services at Lend Lease Corporation; and the chief financial officer and director of information technology for Norwich Union Financial Services Australia.
