MacUser UK reports that Apple Computer Inc. (AAPL) board member Edgar S. Woolard Jr. will retire after the next shareholder meeting on April 20. The decision was revealed in the agenda for the meeting sent out to all shareholders. According to the document, MacUser said, Woolard's seat on the board will not be filled immediately, reducing the board to six members: Steve Jobs, Larry Ellison, Gareth Chang, Millard "Mickey" Drexler, Bill Campbell and Jerome York. Woolard is also chairman of the board of directors of E.I. du Pont De Nemours and Co. Apple was not immediately available for comment to ZDNet News. -- Matthew Rothenberg, ZDNet News
