Borland appoints MD for Indian sub-continent

Borland Software Corporation, a provider of e-business platform solutions, has appointed Sam Ghebranious as the managing director for the Indian sub-continent.

Borland Software Corporation, a provider of e-business platform solutions, has appointed Sam Ghebranious as the managing director for the Indian sub-continent. Ghebranious will be responsible for overseeing the operations in India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.

Ghebranious brings with him over 18 years of experience in management in the IT industry covering the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining Borland, he held the position of managing director ASEAN for Novell Inc.

Ghebranious was also with AST computers for 10 years, where he joined as the regional sales manager in Australia with the founding team, and then moved on to become the managing director of South East Asia.

Ghebranious is an active speaker on issues affecting the IT industry at worldwide conferences and at IT schools. He was awarded the status of senior member of Singapore Computer Society and an honorable membership to the New Zealand National Press Club for his contribution to IT Related journalism. Ghebranious has been an active member of the executive committee of the Singapore Computer Society since 1988. Ghebranious holds an MBA in Asian Studies with University of Western Sydney.
