'Cabin Porn' blog offers up wooded retreats to lust after

Perhaps you're spending some quiet time this coming Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday in a cabin in the woods? Or perhaps you only wish you could... In either case, get ye to Cabin Porn, a well curated, sharp, sparse Tumblr blog that transports the viewer to places (hopefully) free of computers and status updates and heavy on views, fire wood, and silence.
The site is the work of Jace Cooke and Zack Klein, who happens to also have co-founded and designed the video site Vimeo. The pair spend time care-taking land and a cabin in upstate New York.
The images range from stylized, haute huts by architecture firm Olson Kundig* to ramshackle sheds that conjure notions of sad hermits, at best, to Unibombers, at worst. But they're all crisp, big and mostly free of people, cars, noise, or other things people go to cabins to escape.
The lack of detailed captions is a bit maddening but all posts link back to sites that tend to have more details. So enjoy the views and get inspired to design your own retreat.
*Olson Kundig's Delta Shelter is a collection of cabins located in epically beautiful Mazama, Washington. Definitely worth a gander.
