CenterSpan licenses Intel technology

CenterSpan has licensed Intel Corp.'s (intc) Launch and Connect technology and will use it in a new version of its instant messaging client, the companies said Monday. CenterSpan's client, Socket, is aimed at online gaming users and allows them to detect what multiplayer games other users own and to launch them from within the IM client.
