CFOs still glum: Your IT budgets will match

You know that saying that when mom's not happy no one is happy. In the corporate world the same thing can be said about CFOs. And the beancounters aren't happy. 

A survey released Friday reveals that 77 percent of CFOs think the U.S. economy will remain the same or get worse in six months. Meanwhile, 39 percent expect more layoffs ahead, according to Grant Thornton, an accounting firm. 

Add it up and the results (statement) mean your IT budget will remain under pressure. 

Here's a look at the results. On the bright side, 23 percent expect the economy to improve, up from 22 percent in September.
