Cisco Systems announced on Tuesday that it is in the process of acquiring file storage management solutions company NeoPath Networks. NeoPath's Smart services and File Director products will be integrated into Cisco's Data Center, Switching and Security Technology Group, Cisco said in a statement.
The technology will enhance Cisco's Service-Oriented Network Architecture, or SONA, the company said. NeoPath is a privately held company, and the terms of the deal were not disclosed. Cisco did state that the deal, pending regulatory approval, should close by April 28, 2007.
