DRAM sales in 2005: Samsung - $8.02 bln, Hynix - $4.11 bln, Micron - $3.87 bln

According to Gartner Dataquest, Samsung Electronics continued to be the leader in DRAM chip production, posting sales of $8.02 bln in 2005, although growth slowed from $8.12 bln in 2004. Hynix ranked in second place with revenue of $4.11 bln 2004, while Micron ranked third with revenue of $3.87 bln. But both Hynix and Micron's revenue figures fell from their 2004 levels, according to the survey.
