E-commerce gets the highest consumer satisfaction rating

The latest American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) report from ForeSee Results and the University of Michigan indicates e-retail received a customer satisfaction score of 84 out of a possible 100 in 2003, making it the highest scoring e-commerce category measured for the study. Other categories under the e-commerce umbrella experienced greater growth, however.

The latest American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) report from ForeSee Results and the University of Michigan indicates e-retail received a customer satisfaction score of 84 out of a possible 100 in 2003, making it the highest scoring e-commerce category measured for the study. Other categories under the e-commerce umbrella experienced greater growth, however. Online auctions displayed the highest growth since 2000 at 8.3%, and satisfaction with e-brokerages rose the most (4.1%) of any other e-commerce category between 2002 and 2003. The following e-retail sites ranked the highest: Amazon.com, BN.com, Buy.com, 1-800-Flowers.
