EIC podcast: Comcast-BitTorrent; Oracle; Facebook and OpenSocial, Adobe

In this week's EIC squared podcast we cover the Comcast-BitTorrent partnership and what it means--and doesn't mean. Dan notes that there are a lot of loose ends to tie up before we declare these two P2P bosom buddies.

In this week's EIC squared podcast we cover the Comcast-BitTorrent partnership and what it means--and doesn't mean. Dan notes that there are a lot of loose ends to tie up before we declare these two P2P bosom buddies.

Meanwhile, I look at Oracle's earnings and what its weaker than expected new license revenue growth means for IT spending. For starters, it means less smack talk from Oracle. Dan also notes that Larry Ellison's tax reassessment put the hurt on his local school district.

Dan examines Facebook's recent moves and how it's the last hold out when it comes to OpenSocial. I wonder if there's a business hook somewhere in OpenSocial.

And finally we touch on Adobe's Photoshop Express--a nice use of a rich Internet application.
