in brief Joe Tucci, chairman, president and chief executive officer of storage and security giant EMC, has postponed a planned visit to Australia at the last minute due to "unforseen circumstances".

On his first visit to Australia, Tucci was due to meet customers and partners to discuss why EMC has spent over US$10 billion in the past few years transforming itself from a storage company into one that is capable of both managing and securing enterprise data.

Tucci was scheduled to host an event in Sydney on Friday alongside EMC Australia and New Zealand managing director, David Webster.

A spokesperson for EMC told ZDNet Australia that Tucci's visit has been pushed back to 23 March, when he will be following "exactly the same schedule".
