Motion LS800

If you own a Tablet PC or UMPC device then a website run by three Microsoft MVPs, Rob Bushway, Dennis Rice, and Warner Crocker, that I highly recommend is GottaBeMobile. These guys create some incredible InkShows and audio InkShows that show you the latest and greatest in the Tablet world. They kicked off their forums last week and to help launch them they put together an incredible contest called Make Me Mobile with Motion. The grand prize is a Motion Computing LS800 Tablet PC valued at US$2,200. This is an extremely portable slate Tablet PC and comes loaded to perform with a Pentium M 1.2 GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 60GB hard drive, and much more. I considered buying this device before, but didn't have the available funds to purchase one and maybe now have a chance as I start to compose my entry. You see, since this is such a super prize you do have to do a bit of work to win it. To enter the contest you must compose an 800-1,000 word essay on how adding a LS800 to your life will make you more mobile and enhance your personal and/or professional life. Entries are to be submitted to the contest forum and it will be enjoyable reading the other entries. Motion Computing and the GottaBeMobile gang will select 5 finalists and then the forum members will vote for the grand prize winner. The contest runs from today through Sunday, October 22nd so put on your thinking caps and get out those word processors.
