The IT job market in Australia is experiencing
a boom due to increased spending on technology infrastructure,
with opportunities greatest for SAP, Oracle and Peoplesoft
specialists looking for engagements in New South Wales (NSW),
Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).
"We're seeing a very strong IT market at the moment in
Australia," says Peter Acheson, chief executive officer (CEO) of
recruitment, research and IT consultancy firm Ambit Group.

Demand for network administration and security specialists

specialists were also hotly pursued. Demand in that area rose by
65 percent over the last 12 months.
