in brief Former Kaz chief Mike Foster has been given a new position within Fujitsu Australia as group executive director of sales.

The future of the Kaz senior management team hadn't been decided when the $200 million acquisition was made earlier this year, with Fujitsu's Australian head Rod Vawdrey saying only that they'd help integrate the acquisition.

Foster had been heading up Telstra's Services Solutions group when the telco bought the thriving IT services firm back in April 2004 for an estimated $333 million. He became joint managing director of the new acquisition in October of the same year, sharing the head role with Kaz founder Peter Kazacos.

February 2005 saw Kazacos take a step back to become executive director of the unit, leaving the chief executive role of Kaz to Foster. Kazacos left the company in 2006 and has since started another company called PKBA. Foster headed up Kaz until it was sold to Fujitsu.
