Freeserve said Tuesday it would work with Tribal Voice to offer its own branded instant messaging application to its 1.32 million users. The Freeserve Communicator service will use Tribal Voice's PowWow technology, which is also used by AT&T's WorldNet.

Freeserve said the new service, which will launch by the end of the year, would be interoperable with Microsoft's MSN Messenger program and America Online Instant Messenger program. --
