Gateway sells Amiga to startup

Gateway Inc. (NYSE: GTW) said it sold the Amiga name and remaining inventory rights to a former executive who plans to resurrect the Amiga, a pioneering personal computer first sold in 1985.

Amino Development Corp., a startup headed by former Gateway marketing executive Bill McEwen, bought the rights for about $5 million, according to people close to the transaction. Full story. -- Gary McWilliams, Wall Street Journal
