Google Android device from HTC dubbed the "Dream"

I had a chance to play with the early prototype Google Android device from HTC at Mobile World Congress in February, but the news has been a bit quiet since then. InfoWorld just posted news that the HTC Google Android device will be called the Dream. The Dream should launch before the end of the year and I think we will see a lot more about this and other Android devices in the Fall.

I had a chance to play with the early prototype Google Android device from HTC at Mobile World Congress in February, but the news has been a bit quiet since then. InfoWorld just posted news that the HTC Google Android device will be called the Dream.

According to the article, the Dream is just over 5 inches long and 3 inches wide and has a keyboard that is located under the display. There is some mechanism for sliding the display out of the way to use the keyboard and Engadget has created a mock-up of a device that has these characteristics. HTC announced last year that they would be the first to market with a Google Android device, but Samsung is also working hard to roll out their device. I expect we will see something from someone before the end of this year and look forward to it.
