As stated in the Google press release there are more mobile devices worldwide than personal computers and televisions combined. And to help all of those who create mobile content Google announced Google AdSense for Mobile as a way to monetize that mobile content. Google AdSense for Mobile will offer up contextual-based text ads on mobile browsers so it shouldn't be too distracting for mobile consumers. Not everyone has unlimited data plans yet so it will be interesting to see what the mobile data consumer thinks of these ads appearing in their browsers. However, if you look at browsers like those found on the Apple iPhone and Nokia S60 devices websites appear as they do on a desktop with all of the standard ads (except some Java ads) so having these new mobile Google ads shouldn't appear much different for those users. While we all want things for free, if you enjoy your mobile content I think seeing a text ad here and there is a small price to pay for high quality and enjoyable content on the go.

AdSense for Mobile will be available in the following countries: US, England, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Ireland, Russia, Netherlands, Australia, India, China, and Japan (available in the coming weeks).
