Google purchases Writely

Om was right.  He got wind of some exciting news that Google was in serious talks to purchase Writely.  An entry into the official Google Blog confirms his findings.  Google has purchased Writely.

On the Writely website you are able to signup to be notified when they begin accepting new registrations -- they have temporarily suspended the creation of new accounts until they are moved over to Google.
