Google, Twitter, SayNow team to enable voicemail tweets to, from Egypt
As it turns out, you can't keep the Internet down after all.
The Egyptian government may have pulled the plug on the Internet but Google, working with a team of engineers from Twitter, as well as SayNow, a company that it acquired last week, has developed a "speak-to-tweet" service that allows anyone to tweet by leaving a voice message on one of three phone numbers.
No Internet connection required.
When a message is left, the service will instantly tweet the message using the #egypt hashtag.

It's a powerful message that Google - as well as the people from Egypt who are already using the service - are sending to government's who try to stifle Web-based communications. They may be able to pull the plug, but the innovative spirit in Silicon Valley will find a workaround.
